Smooth Ride: Nitrogen Gas Charging for Shock Absorbers
A Tier 1 shock-absorber manufacturer needed a way of filling their products with a precise amount of nitrogen. The VTech 25 Nitrogen Gas Charging System's working cycle monitors the pressure in the shock absorber during the filling operation. It then lets the nitrogen pressure stabilize and monitors that it does not fall below a minimum value. If, after several (programmable) attempts, the pressure is not maintained, an error message is displayed (and an optional stack light signal flashes red) indicating that the part has a leak. |
