A multinational air conditioning manufacturer has selected VTech as the supplier of choice for all leak detection and refrigerant charging needs.
One of their U.S. manufacturing plants uses a combination of Pressure Decay and Tracer Gas leak testing for both their sealed units as well as heat exchangers. This is a split version of the VTech 75 Multifunction Leak Detection System, whereas the pressure decay portion of the test is performed separately from the tracer gas sniffing test in order to shorten takt time and specialize each function.
Refrigerant charging is performed with VTech 200 machines, the top of the line equipment for high production rates. These are multi-filler units that are able to sequentially charge different refrigerants on the same assembly line.
The product pre-sets are down-loaded by means of a proprietary bar-code combination through VTech Critical Data Management software. All relevant production and quality data is recorded and the product is tracked as it moves from one sequence to the next. Critical Product Tracking ensures that the product will not be allowed to proceed to the next process step unless it has successfully completed the previous one according to the set flow.
